ADHD “Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” is a mental disease unfortunately becoming more well known and wide spread among children, ADHD has three main subtypes and various symptoms to identify.
Children’s enthusiasm and fun loving nature is what makes them children, their tendency to lose focus sometimes when distracted by something they find more interesting is another normal thing.
However, if you feel that something is off, that these tendencies are simply higher in your child than other children of the same age.
You might need to take a deep breath and take a look into those symptoms before making any conclusions:

Children with inattention symptoms:
- Find it hard to pay attention.
- Day dreaming and absent minded.
- Find it hard to complete tasks and assignments.
- Can’t concentrate on one thing for a long time.
- Easily lose interest in any subject or conversation within minutes.
- Find it hard to follow instructions.
- Can’t easily comprehend and process new information.
- Forgetting things and missing out details.
- Difficulty doing their chores and turning in their homework.
Children with hyperactivity symptoms:
- Find it hard to stay put in one place.
- Fidget when seated.
- Talking non-stop.
- Always running or jumping and bouncing around.
- Always playing with whatever is in sight.
- Can’t accomplish quiet tasks or chores.
Children with impulsivity symptoms:
- Express their feelings without restrain.
- Can’t wait for what they want or wait their turn.
- Blurt out inappropriate things at inappropriate times.
- Highly impatient.
IN order for a child to be diagnosed with either one of the three subtypes, six or more of the up-listed symptoms must be present with some or all of the symptoms consistent for not less than six months.
